Privacy Policy
The Binder — Trading Cards · Last updated: 6 August 2026
The Binder ("we," "us") is a personal trading-card collection tracker. This policy explains what
information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. We keep this simple because our approach is simple:
we collect only what's needed to run the app, and we never sell your data.
Information we collect
- Account details. If you create an account, we store your email address and a securely
hashed version of your password (we never store your actual password).
- Your collection data. The trading-card information you enter — card names, sets, values,
conditions, notes, photos, and how you organize them — so we can save and sync it for you.
- Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe.
We do not receive or store your full card number; Stripe handles that securely. We keep only a
customer reference and your plan status.
- Basic technical data. Standard information your browser or device sends (such as request logs)
needed to operate and secure the service.
How we use it
- To provide the app and save/sync your collection across your devices.
- To create and manage your account and, if applicable, your subscription.
- To keep the service secure and working properly.
How it's stored
Your account and collection data are stored in a secured cloud database hosted by our infrastructure
provider (Render). If you use the app without an account, your data stays in your own browser on your device.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers needed to
run the app — currently Render (hosting and database) and Stripe (payment processing) — and
only as needed to provide the service, or if required by law.
Your choices
- You can access and edit your collection at any time in the app.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us (below).
- You can cancel a paid plan at any time from within the app.
Children
The Binder is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll change the "Last updated" date above when we do.

Note for the owner: this is a solid, standard starting point written in plain language —
please read it over and adjust anything that doesn't match how you actually run things (for example, if you
add analytics or other services later). It's general guidance, not legal advice.
